Benny Dembitzer is a Cambridge Alumni and Economists, Managing Director of Grassroots Africa and member of the team awarded the 1985 Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of IPPNW (International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear Weapons). In this ocation, Benny will present is new book ‘The famine next door. Africa is burning. The north is watching’.

The talk will be introduced by the speeches of researchers from the BRIDGE Project partners of UNISUL, Brazil, as below:

  • Prof. José Baltazar Guerra, on ‘The BRIDGE project in Brazil: Impact through Research, Innovation and Outreach’.
  • Mr. Issa Ibrahim Berchin, on ‘Sustainable campuses as living labs for sustainable development: An overview of a Brazilian Community University’.
  • Mr. João Marcelo Pereira , on ‘Identifying and overcoming obstacles to the implementation of Green Campus: a case study of a South American University.
