Biography

Jeremy Marand is a PhD student in the Department of Land Economy, University of Cambridge, working under the supervision of Prof Andreas Kontoleon. His research focuses on the relationship between GDP per capita, energy consumption and environmental degradation generated by the energy sector.

Prior to starting his PhD, he worked as a consultant for the World Bank, the United Nations Development Programme and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, among others. He holds an MSc in Economics from University College London and an MPhil in Environmental Policy from the University of Cambridge.
