Biography

Sören Lindner works as a project officer in the food security unit at the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission.  Sören's research is focused on sustainable food systems for Europe and evaluating policy ideas for the Common Agricultural Policy of the EU. More specifically, he works on methodologies that assess global land use change emissions within the life cycle of animal products consumed in the EU.

Sören holds a PhD in Ecological Economics from the University of Cambridge, where he worked at 4CMR under the supervision of Dr. Dabo Guan and Prof. D.J. Crawford-Brown. From 2013 to 2017 he worked as a researcher in environmental economics at the European Commission Joint Research Centre. After that he worked as a Post-Doctoral researcher under Jean-Francois Mercure in the BRIDGE project.
