On 11 December 2023, the UK Pavillion at COP28 hosted an event organised by the Economics of Energy Innovation and System Transition (EEIST) project and chaired by CEENRG fellow Dr Cristina Penasco, Associate Professor at the University of Cambridge and Senior Research Economist at Banque de France. The event, hosting EEIST leaders and international partners in China and India, highlighted the main findings of the project made in the last three years regarding effective models and policies for unlocking the potential of energy innovation and system transition. Among the key contributions presented in the panel were two major reports of the project: 'Ten Principles for Policy Making in the Energy Transition' co-led by CEENRG Director Prof. Laura Diaz Anadon, Dr Cristina Penasco, and Prof. Aled Jones, Director of Global Sustainability Institute at Anglia Ruskin University'; and the 'New Economic Models of Energy Innovation and Transition' led by Dr. Peter Barbrook-Johnson at the University of Oxford.
