Cambridge Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resource Governance

Cambridge Zero and the Cambridge Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resource Governance (CEENRG) in the Department of Land Economy, University of Cambridge, announce a joint research symposium ‘Governance, law and economics of climate change and energy transition,’ held in Cambridge on 21 November 2023.

In this symposium researchers will talk about the governance, policy, and economics of climate change and energy transitions with a specific (but not exclusive) focus on recent developments in these areas in light of the upcoming COP28 Climate Summit. We investigate how global influences and voices shape these developments as the world deals with the challenges of climate change. The symposium is intended to explore ‘grand challenges’ and new ideas, and build connections across departments at Cambridge in a relaxed setting. It is also an opportunity for Early Career Researchers (ECRs) and PhD students based at Cambridge to present their work to a diverse audience and network with established researchers. We are inviting ECRs to present their research as a short 10-min paper or a 2-min lightning talk. ECRs can submit abstracts here until 18 October 2023.

The event will be held in the Main Seminar Room at the David Attenborough Building on 21 November 2023 from 1 to 6 pm. Lunch will be provided.

Confirmed keynote speakers:

Registration for the event is open until the 19th of November. To submit an ECR abstract, please click here.
