The Cambridge Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resource Governance (CEENRG) is happy to once again host a weekly CEENRG Seminar Series throughout Michaelmas Term of the 2022-2023 academic year. These are informal and friendly talks allowing discussion of on-going work for PhD students, early career researchers and senior academics. Presenters are expected to speak for 30-45 mins to allow substantial time for discussion. Talks focus on issues in law, policy and governance of climate change, environment and energy. All are welcome!
In 2022 Michaelmas Term, the seminars will typically take place in a hybrid format* (online in Zoom + in-person meeting) every Thursday at 3 pm** (UK time) between 13 October and 1 December 2022. To continue engaging with experts globally, we keep an online component of the series, with all seminars broadcasted in Zoom and some of our speakers presenting online. For our colleagues in Cambridge, we are also thrilled to announce a return of in-person seminars held in the David Attenborough Building (DAB) starting from 20 October 2022.
For the first seminar of the term, which will take place on 13 October 2022 at 3-4 pm (UK time) online, we are honoured to welcome Professor Zhongmei Lyu from Tsinghua University, a leading scholar in environmental and administrative law. It would not be an exaggeration to say that she and her team shaped the environmental law framework in China. Professor Zhongmei Lyu will speak about 'A Decade of Building the Environmental Rule of Law in China: Progress and Outlook'. The seminar will take place online in Zoom. Please register using this form if you are interested in attending.
The full programme of the CEENRG Seminar series, including time and location of each seminar, can be found in the 2022 Michaelmas Term Card below, or in a poster format here. If you are interested in attending any of the seminars online, please register using this form to receive a Zoom meeting link on the day of the seminar.
